Armed Forces Covenant

In a demonstration of our assistance to the armed forces community in the UK, Seager Home Solutions has committed to the Armed Forces Covenant. The pledge serves as a public acknowledgement of support to our service men and women, and their families.

About the Armed Forces Covenant

The covenant is a written and publicised voluntary pledge from businesses and organisations throughout the UK who wish to demonstrate their support to the armed forces community. The Armed Forces Covenant represents a promise by the nation that those who serve or have served, and their families, are treated fairly. There is no limitation to the size or type of organisation that can sign up to the covenant, nor their sector of operation.

In fact, through signing the covenant, Seager Home Solutions joins thousands of organisations that include many household names such as Facebook, Virgin Media, Asda, and Lloyds banking group. The pledge strengthens the relationship between businesses and Defence, helping to raise awareness of the significant contribution that those who currently serve in the armed forces, have previously served, and their families, make to our way of life.

Each organisation that signs up to the covenant is able to form their own pledges, however the following statements must be included:

  • No member of the Armed Forces should face disadvantage in the provision of public and commercial services compared to any other citizen.
  • In some circumstances special treatment may be appropriate, especially for injured or bereaved Armed Forces personnel and their families.

The Defence Employer Recognition Scheme

As one of the signatories of the Armed Forces Covenant, Seager Home Solutions has become eligible to apply for the Defence Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS) Bronze award.  The ERS encourages employers to support Defence and aims to inspire other organisations within their supply chain to do the same. The scheme offers bronze, silver, and gold levels for businesses that pledge their support.
